Second, on front pastedown: "To Mary L. Zagoreos, with best wishes, Clarence D. Chamberlin, Aug 12th, 1961." Two weeks after Lindbergh's solo transatlantic flight, aviator Clarence Chamberlin flew non-stop from New York to Germany, carry the first transatlantic passenger exceeding Lindbergh's record by 300 miles. Light wear at the heel and tips, mild fade area on spine. Very good, bright, attractive copy. New York Times obituary of Chamberlin laid in. Size: 8vo. Signed by Author.

This volume comes with a typed letter signed on Chamberlin Aircraft Engineering Co. letterhead, dated Aug. 25, 1955. This letter discusses the fates of famous Bellanca planes and of the "Columbia."
