Letters by Catchpool about his experiences as a World War One conscientious objector in England. 140 page softcover in heavy gray paper covers. Wear and sunning to edges with some foxing to front free end paper. Dust jacket is worn and lightly sunned. Jacket has tears at edges with a chip missing from top of spine. Jacket split completely at front spine edge. Reprint of original 1918 edition.

Thomas Corder Pettifor Catchpool (1883-1952), a Quaker and pacifist, served with the Friends Ambulance Unit, 1914-16, but was then imprisoned for his conscientious objection.
