Hardcover. Condition: Good. Charming collection of Aboriginal folk tales with stylish illustrations by Elizabeth Durack. Somewhat of its time but an interesting, nicely produced volume. Pictorial cloth covers are toning with some marking and a small nick. Very light foxing to page edges. Previous owner's name to ffep. Otherwise contents are clean and bright. Good.

Only marks are very light spotting on the edges and endpapers and a previous owners bookplate on the front pastedown. Otherwise a fine, unmarked copy. The d/w is unclipped and very good with light edge rubbing and light foxing on the rear panel. Now in a protective cover. A lovely copy of this very scarce item. Scans available if required.

Deborah Buller Murphy (nee Drake-Brockman) was born in 1887 in Western Australia, she was also known as Lady (Deborah Vernon) Hackett and Lady Moulden. An artist and mining entrepreneur she was also interested in Australian minerals, specifically in the scarce tantalite found in the Northern Territory and at Wodgina, Western Australia. Known as 'Australia's Tantalite Queen', Buller Murphy founded Tantalite Limited and was the first to recognise the importance of the globally scarce mineral resources of the state.
