A poem begins with the time of day, beginning with eight o'clock and is then followed by an illustrated page. The day ends with twenty o'clock. A charming 1931 picture book about a little girl & her doll. The doll's "mother" teaches her (the doll) about duties, travel, sewing, sledding and many other things a little girl should know. Apricot boards are very good- book is clean/tight. Small prior owner's bookplate on flyleaf. Custom mylar DJ included.

The publisher's own retained copy with their perforated stamp in the preliminaries reading 'file copy' with an inked label on the front pastedown, "Sept. 22th 1924." Some ink marks at spine and some surface wear and scuffing to covers, otherwise near very good.
First edition, first printing. Near fine to fine in very good, lightly toned dust jacket with two short closed tears in mylar cover.

Decorated endpapers. Unpaginated. Illustrations every page. Hour by hour prose describing a doll's day from 7 in the morning till 7 at night. Two illustrations neatly colored in with crayon, a tree drawn in ink by child in one of the blank spaces. Some smudges. Binding tight and secure. Scarce title. Charming illustrations and delightful to read.

Book tells what a doll does every hour of the day from the time her mother calls her at seven o'clock in the morning until she goes to bed at seven o'clock at night. Tight binding. No chips, tears, creases or written inscriptions on pages. Pictorial endpapers feature black line drawings of flowers, houses, dolls, birds, horses, rabbits, giraffes, elephants, rocking horses, cats, dogs. Some of the drawings on the endpapers have been lightly and neatly coloured in. Dust jacket is NOT price-clipped, with original price of $1.75 on front flap. Orange-coloured coverboards with blue lettering. Jacket has some paper loss at head and tail of spine. Front panel has a 5" tear. A few areas of surface paper loss on jacket and some small tears around edges. Jacket is lightly soiled, but presents well in a clear, protective and removable Brodart sleeve.
