Allen & Co., London, England, in 1959. 8vo. 68 pp. The book itself is in Fine condition with only the slightest bumps to head and foot of spine and to front cover edge. The jacket is in Good condition despite small tears at the foot of the spine and upper right flap corner--all corresponding to said bumps. Approximately 1/2 inch of the top of the jacket spine is missing. A small tear at foot of jacket's rear. Bound in bright green boards with spine stamped in gilt. A gilt medallion decorates the front cover. Pictorial endpapers and illustrated by many historical line drawings as well as reproductions of paintings. Color frontispiece is the same as the jacket illustration. J.A. Allen's sticker at foot of rear inside cover. All in all, a very nice copy of this rather elusive title chronicling the history of the side saddle.
