Book
Decorative Cloth. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Date is that of Preface, May 1892. Green cloth stamped in gilt. Well illustrated. Includes a 24-page section of advertisements for all things to do with gardening. The binding is firm. The page block is tight (except the advertisements gathering where the "hinge" has opened most of the way down, although the gathering is not loose); no pages are loose. The spine is whole (but the head and foot are worn and the 4 corners bumped). The rear endpapers hinge is open for the last half inch. There is no foxing and the pages are clean and there are no markings except for a previous owner's inscription (local to this area). However, both sets of endpapers are water stained. The title page and the last page (verso) of the ads are browned in a neat large rectangle. The boards have difficult to detect water damage with a 1/8th inch diameter hole on the front in the cloth only.
