The site is known for its well-preserved temples, palaces, marketplaces, and other structures that reflect the empire's rich cultural and artistic heritage. Some of the prominent attractions within the ruins of Hampi include the Virupaksha Temple, which is still an active place of worship, the Vittala Temple Complex with its iconic stone chariot and musical pillars, the Hazara Rama Temple with its intricate carvings depicting scenes from the Ramayana epic, and the Lotus Mahal, a beautiful palace known for its delicate architecture.
