Original political cartoon by Burris Jenkins discussing the hiring of Mel Ott as Manager of the New York Giants. Cartoon is undated but believed to be from early-to-mid 1940's when Ott functioned as a player-manager for the Giants (Bill Terry stepped down as manager in 1941 and the job was given to Ott). Silver metal frame measures 23 1/4" x 19 1/4" and is in good condition (fitted with wire on verso for wall mount). Cartoon (ink and colored pencil) was not examined out of frame but appears to be in good condition. MS Consignment. Shelved in Rockville PS. 1368073. FP New Rockville Stock.
