Horsemanship. Etching on Laid paper. Made by 'Benoit Audran' after 'Charles Parrocel'. Benoit Audran (Paris, 1698-1772), called the Younger to distinguish him from his uncle, was a French artist. He was the son and pupil of Jean Audran, and engraved in the same manner as his father. Charles Parrocel (1688-1752) was a French painter and engraver, specialised in battle and hunting scenes. Good, given age. No margins, some browning. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully. The overall size is ca. 10.5 x 17.3 cm.
