He was born in Rome, the son of Antonio Canale. He was instructed in engraving by Jacob Frey, and also frequented the school of the Cavalière Marco Benefial. In 1751 he was invited to Dresden to assist in engraving plates for the pictures in their Gallery, and was appointed engraver to the Court. He completed the following prints:.Biography artist: Aignan-Thomas Desfriches (1715-1800), seigneur de la Cartaudiere, was a French draughtsman, collector and patron of the arts born in Orleans on March 7, 1715 and died in Orleans on December 25, 1800. Condition: good, given age. Light soiling and foxing. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully. Seller Inventory # PCO-25606

In 2018 he decided to further develop his personal collection through 'Pictura Prints'. Peter has a background in design and landscape architecture and holds a degree in paper restauration. He holds shop in Overasselt, a small town on the Maas river near Nijmegen, The Netherlands, which can be visited by appointment. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Antiquarians (NVVA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB).

We ship worldwide and package our items meticulously. We carry an umbrella insurance policy. Our shipment rates are based on shipments up to 1 kg. For heavier shipments we will contact you with a quote. Currently our surcharge for international shipments over 1 kg is 9,14 euro / kg. In addition POST NL temporarly charges 3,60 euro per kg due to CORONA related logistics. We ship by registered mail through POST NL. Expedited shipping or shipment through another carrier is available on request at a possible surcharge.
