Ornithology hand coloured copper engraving. Ca 1830s. Possibly Edinburgh Review or Birds, Illustrations of the American Ornithology. Rare find. The single page blank on the reverse print is 13 1/2 x 9 ins and is above average coloring for that era. Print is in excellent condition with minor chipping at the sides. A remarkable antique print collection. Engraving identifies the artist/engraver: S. Milne and the engraver/Colored by: Turvey. Print shows plate number with a list of subjects in the lower part.
