A partir de la figura iniciática del andariego, del buscador, del errante, Padeletti recoge en este volumen lo sustancial de su obra poética producida entre los años 1944 y 1980. Las diecinueve estaciones poéticas constituyen los estadios de una búsqueda inclusiva que ha abrevado en diversas tradiciones, desde el cristianismo hasta el hinduismo y el budismozen. El autor se ha destacado tanto como poeta y como artista plástico. Gran parte de sus poemas fueron recopilados porel propio Padeletti en "La atención : obra reunida : poemasverbales, poemas plásticos" (3 v., 1999). Posteriormente publicó "Canción de viejo" (Primer Premio de Poesía del FondoNacional de las Artes 2003) y "Dibujos y poemas 1950-1965".Su obra ha sido traducida al inglés y al portugués.
