This VG quality book was published in 1915 by A. L. Burt Company. It is 7-9/16" tall and has 247 numbered pages, followed by 8 pages of ads. It is square, very clean, free of edge dings but with a lightly bumped top front corner; the head and heel of the spine are lightly bumped with no damage beyond some color loss; the bottom edges have very little wear but both lower corners are soiled. The front board has three horizontal ripples (one just below the water line, another at the plane's wheels and a third that is hard to see) that have to be manufacturing errors. Both hinges are strong, intact and not damaged. Except for a short penciled inscription on the front paste down, the interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and paper damage of any type (p. 237 has a 1/4" tear at the top). There are no illustrations beyond the frontis. The paper has aged quite well and has only very mild toning and is still very flexible. The VG- quality jacket is moderately soiled; it also has small edge chips at all four corners and at the heel of the spine, with the head of the spine having a much larger chip with a short fold into the front panel (see photo).
