With 130 Illustrations - some coloured. READING COPY ONLY. Needs rebinding. Pale brown cloth boards with previous owner's hand-penned title to front and spine. Cloth split, stained, discoloured with age and soiled. Corners bumped. Inside binder's webbing exposed along gutters, especially at front and back endpapers. Frontis plate and title page loose. One page of preface also loose. Section of the book has come disbound from page 341 - 356, it is present, but dog-eared at edges. Pages discoloured with age and have some foxing and thumbing. Occasional corner crease. Book smells musty. Stated 10th edition at title page. xxviii + 778pp + numerous plates and fold-out maps. Size: 10"/6.5". Seller Inventory # 044636
