A very nice copy of this two volume set, complete and in the original box. Books themselves excellent, slipcase shows some issues but integrity and legibility still well intact. Binding on both volumes is solid and square. Interiors are clean and free of marks, except for fingerprints in the margins of a few early pages in volume 1. Exteriors of both volumes have some wear around the edges and at the corners of the boards. On volume 2, back bottom corner has been bumped. Both volumes have some brown spots near the spine on the top edge of the text block. From the collection of a tobacco smoker, with attendant tanning to spine / joints and faint aroma of smoke within. Box has significant tanning from tobacco smoke and significant wear. There are water stains across the top of the box, and some on the back cover. Front cover has a small splatter of white paint. The paper exterior of the box is brittle at the joints, and is torn and coming off in several places on each side. Despite this damage, the box is still sturdy and quite clean inside.
