Comprising Also Numerous Translations, Notes, and a General Preface, Etc. By John Emory. In Seven Volumes, Published by Carlton & Phillips, New York, 1853, full tree calf leather, 9.5 x 6.25 , 8vo. In fair condition. Moderate wear to extremities with scuffing to edges and corners. Scuffing and minor abrasions over surface of leather bindings. Morocco labels intact. Spine ends scuffed with light crushing. End papers somewhat soiled, but free of markings. Internally good with light toning and minor instances of foxing. The occasional age stain. Bindings tight and intact. All boards attached. Free of known markings. Please see photos. John Wesley (1703-1791) was an English cleric, theologian, and evangelist who was a leader of a revival movement within the Church of England known as Methodism.
