About this Item
There is no date on TP or verso, 1890 is a guess based on the publisher, paper and binding. Pages are darkened through time but all are unmarked and tight. No library markings. Elaborate designs on front board and spine. Brame wrote "mushy love stories," poems etc. under several pen names including Charlotte Braeme, Charlotte Brame, Bertha Clay, Caroline Barton and perhaps others. Brame, born 1836, she died at Hinckley, Leicester, England November 25, 1884. Much of her writing appeared in periodicals and not published in hardback until after her death. This title does not appear frequently except in recent paperback reprints and is in unusually good condition. Seller Inventory # 001671
