Third edition. Blind ruled red cloth, gilt-stamped spine. Illustrations from drawings by H.K. Browne and James Godwin. Engraved by the Brothers Dalziel. Contemporary owner's name inked on front fly, small dampstain on corners of a few pages, spine tail and bottom corners stained, a good only copy with some pages unopened. Russel Van Arsdale Lee's copy with his decorative bookplate featuring skull, snake and book affixed to the front pastedown. Dr. Lee was founder of the Palo Alto Medical Research Foundation.
