In 187 pages, with frontispiece & numerous pen-and-ink illustrations throughout by Thomas Henry, who also did the DJ cover art. Orig. published in 1927, this is a later (26th) printing of that FIRST EDITION from 1963. Hardcover 12mo (5" x 7.5") has bright red cloth-covered boards stamped with an image of William to front, lettered in red inside black boxes to spine. Condition is Near Fine: unusually clean & bright, binding strong & straight, both hinges secure. Pages creamy white with moderate tanning, completely unmarked, but page 57-58 has a crease & a tiny tear to outer edge (fore edge). Bottom of spine is slightly pushed. The unclipped DJ (with London bookstore sticker covering up price at lower front flap) is also Near Fine, with very mild edgewear; colors bright & unfaded; nicely protected by former owner in clear, nonreflective mylar cover.
