In 252 pages, with frontispiece & numerous pen-and-ink illustrations throughout by Thomas Henry, who also did the DJ cover art. Orig. published in 1924, this is a later (30th) printing of that FIRST EDITION from 1950. Hardcover 12mo (5" x 7.5") has bright red cloth-covered boards stamped with an image of William to front, lettered in red inside black boxes to spine. Condition is VG: quite clean, binding strong & straight, both hinges secure. Pages creamy white with moderate tanning & some random spotting to all endpapers & outside page edges; else, completely unmarked. Mild bumping to corners & bottom edges. The unclipped DJ (with orig. 6/- net price intact to lower front flap) is Good: bright & colorful, but missing a large portion of lower-outer front cover, moderate edgewear to all extremities, chipped corners; nicely protected by former owner in clear, nonreflective mylar cover.
