Revised edition. lxvii, 290pp. Cloth. First published as the Annual of the Palestine Exploration Fund for 1914/15, the book describes an incredible archaelogical survey carried out as cover for a British military mapping operation in southern Palestine just before the outbreak of World War I. At the time of publication it was the most comprehensive account of the region and still extremely relevant ninety years later. This edition also includes previously unpublished material from the PEF archives, a preface by Jonathan Tubb and a new introduction by Sam Moorhead.
