Exlib with pocket pulled and all pages present. White out on white background edges of some pages not obscuring any illustrations. Some soil on edge of page block. Pages soft and well-read. Some finger soil but the book is not a mess. 1970 copyright date with Lib of Congress number beginning with 75 so not sure if this is a first, No mention of later printings or number line. Price clipped DJ has small chip at rubbed head of spine, light surface soil and white call tag on white background so it doesn't stand out very much. . Very rare book. To a small boy, an empty house is filled with strange and scary noises which one must have the courage to investigate. Using the title words for text, the pictures tell the warm, humorous and suspenseful story of Who's There? an appealing little book designed for preschoolers and new readers. Seller Inventory # 30041
