Two volumes, c.1829-1871 noted on "Introduction" pages. Very Good, bound in green pebbled cloth. Copyright page states International Book Co. as publisher, BUT 'Hovendon Company" is imprinted at foot of spine cloth each volume as publisher. Hovendon purchased International Book Co in 1890s, probably rebinding the original text blocks of previous publisher. Volumes are printed on tissue thin stock, with b/w frontispiece each. In tiny copperplate script, a previous owner name and State on each blank front free end-papers. EACH Title has its own Index at end of story. Gently bumped/worn corners and crowns; Interiors are clean, no markings at all. "Waverly or 'Tis Sixty Years Since" and "Woodstock or "The Cavalier" in one volume. ""Bride of Lammermoor"; 'Legend of Montrose' ; 'Chronicles of The Canongate" in second volume.Tight text blocks; no foxing. Good looking vintage classics. Indexes and Glossary for each story.
