Substantial water stain at the bottom right corner, barely extending into the border. Several very short tears at edges. Taken from the Gilbert Stuart Athenaeum portrait. George's portrait has William Smith's name in the imprint, with an address of 702 S. Third St., Philadelphia. A fine, large portrait of Washington, issued as a companion piece for an equally-sized portrait of Martha, likely issued to coincide with the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia in 1876.
