Waarheid en Droomen. Met tien Etsen door Wilm. Steelink, Jonathan, Zesde Druk, E.J. Brill, Leiden, 1885, 258 pp, plus leaf of contents, red pictorial cloth, 15 x 11.5 , folio. In good condition. A beautifully designed book! Light wear to extremities with scuffing to edges of cloth. Modest soiling with minor staining to cloth. Slight abrasions to edges of boards. Spine lightly abraded with areas of irregular scuff marks. Gilt finishing bright and clean. All edges gilt. Beautiful floral foiled end papers clean and bright. Interior lightly toned with scattered foxing, sometimes moderate. Offsetting to tissue guards from plates. Foxing to tissue guards. Binding remains tight and intact. Free of known markings. Nice! Please see photos. An oversized book that may require additional postage. A scarce Dutch text, illustrated with engravings by Wilhelm Steelink who was associated with the Laren School. Stories are titled: "De Haarlemsche courant", "Het album", "Sint Nicolaas", "het portret", "De koning gaat ten grave", "De haringkooper", "De vischvrouw", "De dorpsschoolmeester", "De hofjes-jufvrouw" en "De schaatsenrijder".
