CONDITION DESCRIPTION: covers clean and bright, small amount of rubbing to spine ends and corners. Interior is clean and tight; a preliminary page with small edge damage with no loss of text. Small amount of inked underlining on some place names on the contents pages. LACKS THE LARGE MAP found in some copies, but more often missing, as it is here. CONTENTS DESCRIPTION: Great canoe adventure by the author an a native guide. Excellent details of camp line, the natural history of the region, and Indian names of place-names and their meanings. Well written and very entertaining; a real Maine classic written in the years working in Boston prior to him becoming a noted and famous mining engineer and professor of mining at .
