About this Item
Half bound leather with burgundy cloth covered boards. Contains approx. 47 black and white photographs of Edwardian Portsmouth and Southsea. Some images of original Clarence Pier and Portsmouth Harbour with several ships including Powerful Class Cruiser. Photographs spread on 6 pages, with approx. 18 blank pages to end. Pages are moderately tanned with visible foxing throughout. Minor loss to edges with tears and creasing. Water staining to bottom edge with minor markings to pages. Photographs are unaffected. Cracking to hinges causing boards to be slightly loose. White tape to gutters throughout, slightly peeling away to some pages. However pages remain tightly bound. Photographs are lightly tanned. Bubbling to front pastedown. Boards have heavy edge wear with corner bumping. Spine strip missing. Leather peeling to edges and corners. Water staining to boards with marks and scratches overall.
