Our Village by Mary Russell Mitford, Belford, Clarke and Company, Chicago, 1882, 206 pp, brick red decorative cloth, 10 x 8 , 4to. In good condition. Light wear to extremities with scuffing to edges and tips. Modest soiling with minor abrasions to surface of cloth. Rubbing to head and tail with minor abrasions at joints. Gilt finishing bright and clean. All edges gilt. End papers free of ownership with light areas of old blooming. Interior lightly toned with minimal foxing. Free of markings. Binding tight and intact. This edition presents a selection of Mary Russell Mitford s writings, consisting principally of those portions specified in the original editions of Our Village published in 1824 as Walks in the Country .
