Slight loss at foot of spine and water stains on edges of pages after 500. Otherwise a good copy. Signature on first free endpaper. Illustrated throughout by charts, tables and 159 figures in text. A comprehensive illustrated guide to the tropical vegetables of South-East Asia, concentrating on on Asiatic cabbages, cucurbits, spinaches and legumes. Geoffrey Alton Craig Herklots (1902-86) was a biologist with a practical experience of nutrition deficiency, specialising in tropical horticulture.
