A rarity .The Second edition November 1917 one month after the first .I know of three copies as against the first where there are 6 copies two with wrappers.Mcilvaine states the second edition was April 1918 which was based on errors on the copyright pages of later editions. The binding is strong but the external hinges are fragile. The pages are fine with no staining to cloth but some fractures to the spine where the cloth is brittle.The wrapper would have been the same as the first and I suspect the print run would have been 2-300 to top up for christmas .There were 1500 sets of sheets printed to cover the first ,second and colonial editions with probably some further copies going to lending libraries which was the case with other early Methuen titles.
