Two compilations of bookplates, and a listing of bookplates, from Europe during or shortly after WWII. (a) Uit het leven en het werk van; artist: Germaine Cluytmans. Published by Antwerpsche Ex-libriskring in 1945. 8vo. sized, unbound signatures. Light blue wrapper with maroon titling and designs. Contents are 4 pp. of text and a list of 14 bookplates composed by Cluytmans, which are tipped-in, one to a page. Text is Dutch. The pages show age-related tanning and the wrap has dusting and fading. (b)---Het Exlibris in Frankrijk; complied by Map, Eersie; published by Antwerpsche Ex-libriskring in1953. 8vo. Gray wrapper with black titling and designs. Unbound contents are a pamphlet of 18 pp. of text followed by 15 bookplates which are tipped-in, one to a page of dark-green heavy paper. Various composers. Text is Dutch. The paper shows fading at the edges. The white pages of the text shows age-related tanning. A bookseller's small label shows on the inside of the rear page of the wrap. (c ) O. L. Vr. Torren in het ex libris; published by Antwerpsche Ex-libriskring in 1943. Small 8vo. Dark brown wraps with black titling. The interior is an 8-page list, in Dutch, of bookplates. The pages show age-related tanning. Not illustrated. All are soft cover, all are very good.
