Book is tight, square, but does have numerous penciled notes throughout that tell where the author obtained knives for his collection and details about knives owned by others. Book Condition: Very Good; soiling to textblock fore edge from thumbing pages; light shelfwear. DJ: Good; NOT Price Clipped ($34.95); wear to spine and flap folds; missing small pieces at head, tail, and tips; several scotch tape repairs to DJ reverse. Off white linen cloth boards and spine with bright black lettering on the spine and front board. 220 pp 4to. Since 1840 the US Government has issued hundreds of different types of knives, to its armed forces. Seeing the need for a book on military knives, the author has now published a third book of his drawings of knives that includes the illustrations from previous books and 150 new drawings of knives, bayonets, machetes, and bolos.
