good condition hardback in the original gilt decorated cloth. gilt edges. 167pages. illustrated with drawings by A.S.Boyd. frontispiece loose. a little marking to the binding. a scarce account, in humorous vein, of the trial trip, in the form of a voyage to the Hebrides, of the s.s. "St.[Saint]George". the ship was built on the Clyde at Govan by the London and Glasgow Engineering and Iron Shipbuilding Company, for Murray Brothers of Glasgow.
