First English edition. [8] + 486 + 32 pp. Decorated cloth. Top edge gilt. Patterned endpapers. Head and tail of spine and corners bumped, some old splash marks on upper board but not badly disfiguring. Spine evenly faded. Prelims and edges slightly foxed. Previous owner's neat stamp on the head of the title page, and on front paste-down. A good copy. The 32 page publisher's catalogue bound at the rear is dated Sept. 1897.
