Binding has been reinforced by new spine cover and tape on interior hinges. Marginal marks or writing on a few pages, and pages are otherwise slightly tanned and with a small stain carried through endpages and onto title page. Front marbled free endpage has two-inch tear. Tissue protective page over frontispiece, but, nonetheless, frontispiece has bled onto endpages and title page. Almost 200 engravings and portraits. Ex-owner stamp.
