About this Item
This VG- quality book was published in 1917 by Grosset & Dunlap. It is 7-5/8" tall and has 218 numbered pages followed by 2 unnumbered pages of ads; it is the tan/red/black quad cover. It is square, very clean, completely free of corner bumps and edge dings; the head and heel of the spine are very lightly bumped, with slight fabric fraying. The bottom edges and lower front corners have a small amount of wear. All three edges of the text have small random indentations (see photo)--it almost looks like some sort of book worm tried this paper many times; all these indentations are very superficial. Except for three inked names (two are lined through) and a 1947 date with the last name, the interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and page damage of any type. Both hinges are strong and not damaged. The frontis is intact. The paper is very slightly toned and quite flexible. The book lists 20 Swift titles on the copyright page and 35 titles on the list at the rear of the book. The VG- quality duo-toned jacket is quite clean and the colors on the front panel are not damaged. It has tiny chips at all four corners and slight wear along both front and rear folds plus small edge chips at the head and heel of the spine and a 1" tear at the top of the front gutter. The spine has surface abrasions and is heavily toned and though Tom"s image is quite clear, the lettering is all but unreadable; and there is a circled "20" at the bottom. There is no tape on this jacket. The front flap lists to title 30 in this series. Seller Inventory # BMR-2020-6-12-6
