1913 1st edition thus with B&W illustrations; tightly bound in navy cloth with bright gilt lettering to spine and bright gilt lettering and illustration to front; bottom front corner slightly losing its colour, as is fore-edge of back panel; a few small chips off cover edges. Early dust jacket has wear and small losses to edges and a yellowed spine. Top page edges gilded; other edges have pale foxing. Internally, front free endpaper is missing; some patchy yellowing/foxing, particularly to outer pages but also to several other areas. Overall, this is a beautiful book in remarkably good condition for its age. Used - Very Good. VG hardback in VG dust jacket. Seller Inventory # BOOKS300882I
