An elegantly produced small book, presumably aimed at younger readers, produced by the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge. Chapter titles include: You'll Learn to Be a Socialist, Jerry Spends Money Right Royally and ends with the elusive/predictable perhaps - We've Come to Say We're Sorry. The pale blue covers feature a pretty floral design or a neat SCKP publisher's logo. The typography is impressive with decorative chapter headings and endings, drop capitals, double spaced text etc There is no printed publication date - 1889 is possible following some finite research. Condition: the boards are quite tanned and marked in places (images). Some dark marking along spine. Binding is slightly loose - enough to reveal some of the connecting materials connecting the front pastedown/front free endpaper hinge (image). The pages are mildly to moderately tanned with occasional spotting; more evident on the preliminary (esp) and final ones. pp. 80/18 mo (+ or -).
