The book itself shows just a touch of handling smudging to the soft yellow paper covers-over-cloth over a brown spine-strip, with the gilt lettering on spine clean and bright, and the oval vignette of an ocean sailing / steamer boat on the front panel clean and vivid. The interior text is in fine condition with no markings or damage to be seen to the text pages. A handsome booklet featuring one full-page color print and several other full-page portraits scattered amongst the pages. This booklet ?Records a Journey to America by Thomas Cather in the Company of His friend Henry Tyler between February and December 1836.
