Tan tweed cloth with orange lettering. Spine has split along left side, so it is essentially a flap. Rubbing and fray to head and heel of spine and corners. Soiling to boards and darkening to spine, round tear to center of rear cover. Despite the battered exterior, the text is overall clean and bright, light soil to closed outside edges. A scarce title in any condition. Republished as "Of A Strange Woman" in 1954. Illustrated throughout with drawings by E.J.K. Strahl. Seller Inventory # B111623
