An early 17th century theology manuscript regarding the Gospel, dated 1605, written in Latin, in an extremely fine script, by one Joannis Froissardus. This manuscript has been written in an incomprehensibly difficult script, with much of the script difficult to read, especially due to the ink stains and bleeding. There are numerous annotations in the margins at the beginning, and many hand-drawn manicules. Interestingly, there is scattered notation in Hebrew, and part of the Arabic alphabet is written down. There is also an inscription in Hebrew to the first leaf, which appears to be an attempt of Froissardus writing his name. One vellum bound manuscript in quarto, 384 leaves This manuscript is in good shape, with rubbing and staining to the binding. As this manuscript has been written in iron gall ink, many pages have bled onto each other, rendering some pages virtually unreadable. Two leaves have developed small holes due to the ink. There are ink stains throughout, obscuring text. The pages are foxed and toned, with an odor to them. There is scattered staining throughout. Seller Inventory # ABE-1668123375010
