Contemporary calf, back with label (top of spine and corners slightly damaged, slightly rubbed).*Third edition of this neolatin poem by Jean Maury (Toulouse ca. 1625 - Villefranche de Rouerge 1697). He was a member of the 'Académie des Lanternistes' at Toulouse and a central figure of a group of learned people there. - On fly-leaf an interesting 18th century annotation in French about a Montgolfier air-balloon, exhibited at the Tuileries in Paris, which will go up a month later.[(3713)].
