Blue cloth binding, with a view on the front cover, gilt trim, gilt mountain decoration on the spine. A few marks on the covers, slight fading on the spine. A tidy looking volume. The page edges are rough/uncut, tidy internally, frontispiece with minor corner nick and a couple of small neat repaired nicks to the fore-edge margin, some toning and a few marks to the pages, mark from a page marker on one page, inner front hinge pulled a bit. Contains 36 sheets of plates (of which 32 are photographic views of Switzerland and 4 are from paintings, plates checked complete). Pages; VIII, 307, (5). Size:228 by 153mm.
