Large format hardcover with dustjacket, a history of the Italian speaking regions of Switzerland located in the valleys cut by the River Ticino and its tributaries and in Alpine Valleys, these people are Italian by culture and Swiss by nationality, the book's title translates to "Italian Switzerland" and the text is in Italian, this magnificent monograph is bound in full leather with bright gold title and decoration on spine and four raised spine-bands, blind-stamped decorative border on front and rear covers, 691 pages, beautifully illustrated throughout, including several folding plates, book looks new, no remarkable flaws, the original clear plastic jacket is present and has some mild rubbing as its only flaw, it does a good job of protecting this splendid volume but the book presents much nicer without it, the original sturdy slipcase is also present and is in excellent condition, also included are a business card from the President of the publisher and the Administratore Delegato, a great gift/collector's copy.
