Gathered in these two well-produced volumes are 38 papers and addresses by Jacques Loeb (1859-1924) most of them translated into English for the first time. Included are the first English translations of G-M 125 (on heliotropism) and G-M 511 (on the limits of divisibility of living matter), and a reprint of G-M 515.1 (on parthenogenesis).
