Folio. Stif card cover,14 pp, beloved color illustrations by de Brunhoff. Original green pictorial wrappers, the cover a picture of Babar at an easel with his tutor, doing math problems. A story derived from the first of the Babar books. Babar is living in Paris with his friend the old lady, and meets his cousins, Arthur & Celeste, whom he introduces to clothes and French society, but returns to Africa with them, becoming king and marrying Celeste.
