About this Item
Children's chapbook. 24pp, plus original printed wrappers. Wrapper crudely re-stitched onto the text-block: an old repair. With minor chipping, staining, etc, but complete. An important bit of early American children's literature, I think: this tale, long associated with the Arabian Nights (though, I think not included there properly), has long been a favorite. No illustrations in this version, but even so, a very rare chapbook, for which OCLC only seems to trace only 3 copies: AAS, Yale, UCLA. Rare. Seller Inventory # 001054
