Brown cloth with spine titles and cover decorations in black; 12mo; 390pp; illustrated with drawings by Carl Rungius and the author; brown printed dust jacket. A reprinting of the 1st edition of 1883 which contained no illustrations. This copy in good condition with light cover wear, occasional light foxing, more so to preliminary pages and text block edges. The uncommon jacket is good with some light spotting to front panel, retaining original publisher's price of $2.50 on front panel. A decent copy of an important work on the deer and its hunting.
