Illustrated Fronticpiece + 384 pages, Decorative binding in Fair/Good condition , some wear (see scan). Contents in mainly good clean condition, contents a little loose from binding but not detached. Minor edge wear to a few pages.A nicely written gift inscription inside front cover to Maryann Algar Diss Christmas 1897 from her father. (Diss is most likely just the Town where she lived as i purchased it in Diss, Norfolk). Author born 1827 - 1892, was an American writer born in West Hartford, Connecticut. After her marriage in 1873 to Rollin H. Cooke she became best known for her fresh and humorous stories of fiction dealing mainly with New England, As this one is. Size: 12.5 x 18.5cm Approx.
