8vo. pp. 2 p.l., 100, [1]. 73 original silver prints mounted in the text, with captions written in blue ink by the author. original cloth (some spotting to upper cover, stain to head of spine). Privately Printed, probably in a very limited quantity for distribution to friends and family. A record of Mardon's hunting trips to the American Rockies and New Brunswick in 1900, pp. 1-42 and pp. 43-54 respectively, Turkey in Asia in 1901, pp. 55-83, the Canadian Rockies in 1904, pp. 84-93, and Norway in 1929, pp. 95-[101]. The first four trips were undertaken while he was on leave from his administrative position in the India Civil Service. Mardon stalked elk (wapiti), prong-horn antelope, and big-horn sheep in the American Rockies in Wyoming, moose and deer in New Brunswick, Persian ibex in Turkey, Rocky Mountain goats in the Canadian Rockies, and reindeer in Norway. Mardon's photographs depict scenery, the hunting party, campsites, and his kills. The section on the American Rockies includes views of the Tetons, the Grosventre Range, Granite Creek, Crystal Basin, and Flat Creek while that on the Canadian Rockies includes views of Mt. Donald, the Kicking Horse River, the Van Horne Range, Mt. Whyte, and Lake Louise. Only 1 copy cited in Worldcat (University of Exeter). Seller Inventory # elala6114
